CAIRO: The military is giving attention to Egyptians living abroad, said the assistant to the Egyptian Ambassador of Foreign Affairs Ali al-Ashry in a Tuesday press statement, in which he also condemned the killing of seven Egyptian Christians in Libya last week.
Ashry released his statement following a memorial ceremony held at the Journalists Syndicate for the seven victims. He demanded that Libya pay compensation to the victims’ families, and assured that a consultant committee will discuss the issue soon.
Ashry also pointed to the importance of establishing a national council for Egyptians abroad.
