CAIRO: Ahram Canadian University will hold an international conference titled “Media and Challenges of Change in Transitional Phases” March 18-20, according to a Tuesday statement by ACU.
The conference, which is the third in cooperation with Ahram Regional Institute for Journalism and Friedrich Naumann Foundation, will present scientific studies that would “help the media contribute a professional role in transitional phases,” Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication at ACU Laila Abdel Maged said in the statement.
Abdel Maged added that the conference would discuss the role of the media in transnational phases, the making of public opinion, institutional communication, advertising and media ethics.
Public and private schools of mass communication and Arab and foreign media practitioners and researchers will participate in the conference, Abdel Maged said.
Around 40 research studies have been presented to the conference, head of ARIJ Mohamed Mahfouz said, adding that the conference would include a discussion by media experts and journalists to set a future vision for the restructuring of the Egyptian media.
