SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt: South Sinai Governor met Tuesday with a French delegation grouping the regional director and the general director of a French hotel series in Egypt and a representative of the French consulate in Sharm el-Sheikh.

The delegation asserted that the French companies have not raised a travel ban from orange to red and that they welcome operating in Egypt in general and South Sinai in particular.

The regional director said that tourism had not been affected by a recent terrorist attack in Taba.

The occupation rate at Taba hotels reaches 70 percent which is the ordinary rate at this time of the year.
