CAIRO: Veteran Egyptian actor Mohamed Sobhi has called for “a revolution in TV drama” in Egypt.

Sobhi, honorary president of the Arab Drama Festival, told MENA Tuesday holding the festival at such time was courageous and a step on the road towards a rebuilding process.

He said the festival would honor casts of the top 10 TV shows for 2013, as well as casts of 20 more shows that were successful over the past years.

The festival will start on March 31 at the Media Production City under the auspices of the ministries of tourism and culture.
