CAIRO: Egypt’s Attorney General sent a letter rogatory to judicial authorities in Libya regarding the case of the murder of seven Egyptian Christians by militants in Libya February, according to a Tuesday statement.
The Attorney General requested that Libya provide him with all investigation, medical, and evidence reports related to the crime, the statement said.
The judicial attaché at the Libyan embassy in Cairo said his country was willing to provide all the requested information and documents, the statement added.
The seven Egyptians were dragged out of their homes by hardline Islamist group Ansar al-Sharia and were found shot in the head outside Benghazi on Feb. 24.
