CAIRO: An Egyptian delegation to Geneva that included 50-member committee vice president Kamal el-Helbawy and Independent Current head Ahmed Fadaly met on Tuesday with the Egyptian community in Geneva to explain the current situation in Egypt, according to a statement.

The Independent Current released a statement Tuesday saying that the Egyptian community members in Geneva supported the idea of Minister of Defense Abdel Fatah al-Sisi running for president.

The statement added that community members organized a protest in Geneva streets following their meeting with the delegation in order to demand European Union countries support Egypt in countering “terrorism,” and to stop supporting the Muslim Brotherhood.
