Environmental management sector discusses strategic plan of nature reserves

CAIRO: Head of Environmental management sector Atwa Hussein Atwa met with the experts of the nature reserves sector in the Ministry of Environment on Thursday to present the strategic plan of the nature reserves in Egypt for 2014 – 2020.

The aim of this meeting is to present and analyze the strengths and weaknesses in the plan as well as the diagram of the strategic plan, Atwa said Wednesday, which explains the tasks and activities of the reserves sector during the certain period and discussing it.

The strategic plan will be adopted after modifying and sending it to the concerned bodies, he told Youm7.

He said the importance of the strategic plan for reserves is because includes a plan for each reserve, ways to develop it, and benefit from the natural resources without harming the reserve itself. It will take into account the investment plan that conducted before.

During the meeting, they discussed the functional structure of the sector and the possibilities of modifying it to suit the tasks of the employees.
