CAIRO: There were violent clashes between security forces and thugs at Kerdasa city when forces began to raid on the city to arrest outlaws on Wednesday, Youm7 reported.
The security campaign arrested around 100 elements of thugs, outlaws, Muslim Brotherhood members, and others accused in the incident of storming Kerdasa police department and killing Major General Nabil Faraj. Security was also able to seize large quantities of arms and ammunition during the raid.
The raid began Wednesday morning to arrest terrorists and criminals, Interior Minister Assistant for private operations sector Medhat el- Minshawi said in a press statement.
Security forces, armored vehicles, and special operations officers participated in the security campaign to arrest the accused elements as they raided a number of villages in the city, Minshawi said and that the campaign is ongoing.
