CAIRO: “Some countries want to make the Nile a source of crisis in the region, instead of a source of life,” Vice-President of Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies Hany Raslan, commented on the lack of a solution for the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.

He spoke about the dangers of Nahda Dam and Ethiopian situation violates what their government announced about the desire to develop, he said during the international conference held by Free Egyptians Party on Wednesday.

Raslan said the Ethiopian situation aims to make changes in political geography at Egypt’s expense and they want to control water to form strategic pressure, which represents a serious danger on national security, stressing on the necessity to allocate the alternatives.
