GAZA CITY: The Israeli Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Wednesday addressing the seizure of a missile shipment from Iran to Gaza, Arutz Sheva reported.

Israel will lodge a formal complaint with the Security Council, the Foreign Ministry said.

It added that by smuggling weapons to the Gaza Strip, Iran violates Security Council resolutions 1373 and 1860.

“The ship’s crew is safe and sound,” according to the statement.
